Heritage Hats is a western-inspired hat brand in need of a modern digital presence. This project focuses on redesigning an outdated website into a clean, responsive, and user-friendly experience that reflects the brand’s craftsmanship while improving usability and enabling online shopping.
The goal of this project was to redesign the Heritage Hats website to improve its overall look, functionality, and user experience. The original site lacked a modern layout, was not responsive, and did not support online purchases. To address this, I developed a cohesive visual identity and designed a responsive website that enhances navigation, strengthens branding, and introduces an e-commerce structure for browsing and purchasing products.

A cohesive brand identity was developed using modern typography and a nature-inspired color palette. The Heritage Hats identity balances tradition and modernity through a refined visual system. The bold serif “H” paired with the hat icon creates a distinctive and memorable mark rooted in craftsmanship. A deep navy and warm tan palette evokes durability and heritage, while the clean execution ensures versatility across digital applications. The result is a cohesive identity that feels both timeless and contemporary.
The wireframe was created to establish layout structure, navigation flow, and content hierarchy before moving into final design. This ensured a clear and user-focused experience.
The prototype design focuses on a clean layout, strong visual hierarchy, and intuitive navigation. Key sections guide users through product discovery while reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.

A sticky navigation bar allows users to easily access menu options while scrolling, while the integrated shopping cart supports a seamless browsing and purchasing process. Additional elements such as a search function and a back-to-top button improve navigation efficiency, making it easier for users to explore products and move through the site with ease.
The Heritage Hats website was developed using HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT in Adobe Dreamweaver, with a focus on clean structure, responsive layouts, and user-friendly navigation. The code was organized into separate HTML, CSS, image, and video files to keep the project easy to manage and update. Testing was completed using tools like Lighthouse, W3C Validator, and Pingdom to check performance, code quality, accessibility, and loading speed. These results helped identify areas for improvement and ensured the final website functioned properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
